Dr. Christina Tsaimou is a Civil Engineer and Research Associate at the Laboratory of Harbour Works (LHW) of the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA). She holds a PhD in Intelligent Structural Health Monitoring (SHM) of Port Infrastructure, a Master’s Degree in Project Management from the Hellenic Open University (HOU), and a five-year Diploma in Civil Engineering from NTUA. Her doctoral research focuses on the in-situ monitoring and assessment of port structures through UAV-based, non-destructive inspections, automated processes, image analyses, and geospatial analytics. Since 2019, she has been part of the LHW research team, contributing to projects related to port and coastal vulnerability assessment, Smart Ports, Digital Twins, climate change adaptation, hydrodynamic modeling, etc. She has also developed extensive expertise in pavement engineering through her previous five-year involvement at the Laboratory of Pavement Engineering (NTUA), working on the design, maintenance, and condition monitoring of highway and airfield pavements. Additionally, she has three years of professional experience as an engineering consultant in a consultancy firm in pavement infrastructure projects.
