Andreas Papadimitriou

Dr Andreas Papadimitriou is currently a Research Assistant at the Laboratory of Harbour Works, School of Civil Eng., NTUA. He holds a MSc Degree in Coastal Zone Management and a Civil Engineering Diploma. His PhD study is focused on sediment transport and coastal morphology and his research interests revolve computer modelling/simulation of maritime hydrodynamics and coastal engineering processes, wave-induced circulation and sediment transport, upscaling techniques for morphological modelling, oil spill modelling, port engineering and harbour structures design. He has a strong background in various programming languages (with excellent knowledge in Fortran, Python, Matlab and good knowledge in C#, Julia, Javascript) and he is actively developing numerical model codes from scratch. He has been involved in 3 research projects and he has participated in over 25 papers published in peer-reviewed scientific journals or presented in international conferences.
